It’s that time again!  Time to get ready for the St Pauls Afrikan Caribbean Carnival 2015 . The youth participation element of which will be delivered at a secret venue on July 4th at a venue to be announced.

Applications for the main September Carnival Procession will open on May 7th.

Our theme for this year is ‘Grass Roots’ which in part relates to the founders of the 1968 St Pauls Festival, many of whom were also instrumental in laying the foundations for the 1965 Race Relations Act.

We are introducing four ‘Carnival Houses’ this year relating to the theme. Once you have registered your interest to take part, you will be allocated a ‘Carnival House’ and a ‘Masquerade Section’ and you will be instructed as to what you will need to research and portray.  We remind you that there are various options of creative expression including:

Music (Songs, Rap, Percussion, Live)

Visual Art (Banners, Costumes, Graffiti)

Poetry and Spoken Word

We look forward to working with you on what we believe will be one of the best Masquerades in recent years.   Community workshops will be announced on the HOME Page – please check for updates.
